So how does it feel to be in somnambulism? Somnambulism is like being awake but in a highly suggestible state. You have your eyes open and it feels much like you are not hypnotised, though you may feel calmer and more relaxed than your normal waking state.
This is how Stage and Street hypnosis is performed so that the subject is made to perform in front of an audience. Obviously in hypnotherapy there is no audience so the client performs a sequence of tests for the state, the post hypnotic suggestions given and then the client is woken.
